Marshall Funhouse was conceived as a dynamic brand activation at South by Southwest (SXSW), designed to reinforce Marshall’s identity as a leader in the music industry while authentically engaging with the Austin music community. In contrast to the increasingly commercialized nature of SXSW, Marshall’s approach prioritized connection over presence. Collaborating with local partners and independent artists, the Funhouse became a space that celebrated Austin’s creative spirit—amplifying local voices, supporting grassroots talent, and reasserting Marshall’s commitment to music-first values.
